Fitting guide

Common grill-hose fittings, shown clearly.

Use the names and pictures to narrow down what you have. Then confirm the exact size, pressure, fuel, and appliance requirements in the manual. Four guides include an Amazon search after the required checks. The others are for identification only.

Nominal size is not a ruler measurement.Thread form, sealing surface, fuel, pressure, flow, plug profile, and appliance approval can differ even when two connections look alike.

QCC1 to 3/8 in female flare

A common low-pressure LP grill category. The familiar tank nut does not prove outlet pressure, appliance-end size, flow, or model fit.

QCC1 to 1 in–20 / CGA 600

This category connects a Type 1 bulk cylinder to a portable appliance designed around a disposable-cylinder inlet. Manufacturer permission still controls the match.

3/8 in natural-gas quick disconnect

A 3/8 in label is only one part of the match. The socket, plug profile, gas rating, pressure, flow, shutoff design, and appliance approval must agree.

1/2 in natural-gas quick disconnect

Larger natural-gas appliances may call for a 1/2 in assembly, but nominal size alone cannot establish safe capacity or a matching plug profile.

SAE flare vs NPT

A flare fitting seals at a shaped metal seat. NPT is a tapered pipe thread. Visible threads do not tell you which sealing method or nominal size you have.

CategoryIdentification comparison only. The appliance documentation must name the actual thread and sealing method.

QCC1 vs POL propane connectors

QCC1 typically tightens over the outside of a modern cylinder valve. POL uses the internal valve thread and a left-hand fuel-gas thread. Neither tank end establishes the appliance-side requirements.

CategoryIdentification comparison only. Confirm the tank valve, regulator, pressure, and appliance end from current documentation.
