Identification guide

Type 1 / QCC1 and POL propane tank connectors compared

QCC1 typically tightens over the outside of a modern cylinder valve. POL uses the internal valve thread and a left-hand fuel-gas thread. Neither tank end establishes the appliance-side requirements.

This page coversIdentification comparison only. Confirm the tank valve, regulator, pressure, and appliance end from current documentation.

A picture can help identify the connector family. It cannot measure a thread, establish pressure, or prove that a part belongs on your appliance. Manufacturer references are linked below each example.

Type 1 / QCC1

Large hand-tightening nut that threads over the outside of the tank valve.

A familiar tank end does not establish the required regulator pressure or appliance-end fitting.

POL / CGA 510

Metal fitting that screws into the internal tank-valve thread; often tightened with a wrench.

POL uses a fuel-gas left-hand thread. Do not force or adapt it by appearance.

Confirm every one of these

  • The cylinder valve and appliance instructions name the same connector family.
  • The regulator pressure and flow match the appliance.
  • The appliance-end fitting, hose length, routing, and safety listing also match.
This page helps identify the fitting. It does not recommend a product.

Use it to understand the fitting names, then return to the exact brand and model record. A visual comparison alone is not enough to show a marketplace link.

Manufacturer-specified products

These are manufacturer products for stated models or uses. They are not universal hoses. Check the source and your exact appliance before buying.

Compatibility not verified.

We do not have a single verified product for this category. Product pages often leave out pressure, mating profile, capacity, certification, or model coverage. Use the guided comparison only after confirming those details in current documentation.
